this is the painting i made for jason. the monster is taken from a flashlight book that i bought at salvation army.

this is also the first painting i have ever painted in this style. my previous paintings have all been solid colors, i've been playing around with mixing different colors for texture and shading. and this is the result.

a recurring issue: the Vending Machine

Countless nights I stand in front of the monster who awaits to devour the 85 cents I have clutched in my sweaty hand.

Countless nights I stand in front of the monster frustrated with the pressure of choosing a candy. Chocolate, fruity, or savory? Crunchy, chewy, crispy, or hard? Quality over quantity?

Countless nights I stand in front of the monster.
